Why couches? |
|
In 2004, somebody posted a picture to an online community I belong to of a couch
that had been abandoned in the street, and it caught my attention. It was just such an unusual thing to
take a picture of. I ended up taking a few pictures and sending them to this person, but after a few emails,
I stopped sending them and continued taking them for myself. |

As I collected more and more images of abandoned couches, I couldn't help but think of how large a part
of our lives a couch becomes. We buy one to put in the most frequented room of the house, and we spend a lot
of time on it, whether we're watching television, playing video games, hanging out with friends or family,
lovemaking, or just taking a nice afternoon nap. Think of all the things that a couch experiences. Forget the walls:
if that couch could talk! |
